Chef Ian Benites

Ian was born in Lima, Peru, but his path to becoming a chef began in his childhood home of Washington, DC. During his time cooking in Washington, he worked everywhere from a mom-and-pop pizzeria to the tasting-menu-only Komi (1 Michelin Star). He moved to New York City in 2014, joined the team at Marea (2 Michelin Stars), and has since held senior positions at Prospect Restaurant, and Gramercy Tavern (1 Michelin Star).
