CHEF HAROLD VILLAROSA

Filipino-born and South Bronx-raised, Chef Harold’s culinary journey took him from working the line at McDonald's to honing his skills at acclaimed restaurants such as Noma (3 Michelin Stars), Per Se (3 Michelin Stars), and Bâtard (1 Michelin Star). Harold has held Executive Chef positions at Freeman’s Restaurant and most recently, The Stand. He is the founder of InsurgoProject, a community organization focused on bringing the farm-to-table movement to inner-city food deserts. Harold also serves as the US Culinary Ambassador to Denmark. Additionally, Harold was a member of the cast of Bon Appetit’s Test Kitchen. He's spoken at a TED Summit in Vancouver as well as serves as a member of the Black Culinary Alliance and The Experimental Cuisine Collective in conjunction with NYU’s Chemistry Department. Harold is also a contestant on the most recent season of Food Network’s BBQ Brawl, co-hosted by Bobby Flay.
