CHEF IAN MCHUGH

Originally from the Riverdale neighborhood in the Bronx, Ian was always encouraged by his parents to cook for himself, starting a lifelong love for food. After pursuing a career as a heavy metal guitarist and bassist, he decided to enroll in culinary school at the International Culinary Center (formerly the French Culinary Institute), graduating the top of his class. From there, Ian proceeded to work at some of the best restaurants in the city, including Marea (1 Michelin Star), Meadowsweet (1 Michelin Star), Restaurant Marc Forgione (1 Michelin Star), Llama San, and Le Crocodile. Currently, he is a sous chef at Jonathan Waxman's acclaimed Jams restaurant and hosts a metal-themed online cooking show called "Eaten Back to Life".
