CHEF YEONGSOO LEE
Born and raised in Korea, Yeongsoo developed a passion for the kitchen at a young age and landed his first culinary job as a college student at Jungsik (3 Michelin Stars) in Seoul. After moving to the United States, he went on to work at some of the country’s most acclaimed restaurants, including Coi (3 Michelin Stars) in San Francisco, Eleven Madison Park (3 Michelin Stars), Chef's Table at Brooklyn Fare (2 Michelin Stars), and Joomak Banjum (1 Michelin Star) in New York. Most recently, Yeongsoo joined Somni in Los Angeles as a founding Sous Chef, where the restaurant was awarded 3 Michelin Stars in 2025. He is now focused on opening his own restaurant, embracing contemporary Korean cuisine with a strong emphasis on preservation.
