CHEF CEDRIC GAYON

Born in the Bay Area and raised in Las Vegas, Chef Cedric Gayon found his passion in the kitchen early, tasting dishes with his mother and developing a refined palate rooted in the bold, umami flavors of Filipino cuisine.

By high school, he was competing—and leading—in culinary competitions, setting the stage for his future in the industry. After graduating culinary school in 2012, he trained at top Las Vegas restaurants like Guy Savoy and Sage, then continued his growth as chef de partie at Eleven Madison Park in NYC, where he moved in 2022.

Now founder and head chef of Five Tastes, Chef Cedric brings his signature cuisine to life—hyper seasonal and contemporary, marrying fine-dining technique with the bold, nuanced flavors of his Asian roots, to express a distinctly modern American point of view.
