CHEF MARISOL CORONA
Chef Marisol Corona is best known as the standout star at Atla, the celebrated Mexican restaurant from the Casamata group, where she meteorically rose from line cook to Chef de Cuisine in just six months. During her six-year tenure, Atla earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand.
Chef Marisol's cuisine is rooted in her family's Mexican traditions and shaped by years of cooking at Atla. Her food is simple, seasonal, and ingredient-led. In her words, simplicity is about letting exceptional ingredients speak for themselves and creating thoughtful, uncomplicated food. This philosophy guides her cooking, which spans Mexican, Spanish, Italian, and French influences, and she brings equal enthusiasm to savory and pastry alike.
In addition to Atla, Chef Marisol was part of The Alinea Group in Chicago at The Aviary, where the precision and discipline of fine dining became her foundation. Upon relocating to New York, she joined The Aviary's opening team at the Mandarin Hotel. She also gained international experience working with MJMK Restaurants in London. She is currently cooking with NA:EUN Hospitality, the well-known group of restaurants Atoboy, Atomix, and NARO.
